Solutions to known problems described below.
Error: Please launch SteelSeries Moment overlay (FOR GEFORCE).
Solution: Turn the GeForce overlay off and then back on.
Error: Please launch SteelSeries Sonar overlay (FOR STEELSERIES).
Solution: Press the SONAR bind key before starting so the overlay works.
Error: Please make sure PIN is not set in Windows sign-in options and manually disable Hyper-V

Error: In-game menu or black screens are flickering.
Solution: Open SteelSeries → Settings → MOMENTS → Capture and Sound → Disable “ALLOW MOMENTS TO CAPTURE WHILE GAMING.”
Error: Please disable Intel Rapid Storage Technology.

Error: The bind button does not work.
Solution: Reinject; if that does not help, run the overlay as administrator.
Error: In-game menu does not appear or loader closes immediately after opening.
Solution: Install the library from this link - https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
Error: Unsupported Firmware.
Solution: Convert the system disk to GPT using the built-in Windows mbr2gpt tool or any disk management utility. Switch BIOS from Legacy mode to UEFI.
Error: 0x296.
Solution: Reinject is required.
Error: Unknown network error.
Solution: There is a problem with the internet connection. Check your connection and try again; you may be using a VPN.
Error: Failed to allocate memory / to map memory(x) — Please reboot PC and try again.
Solution: The driver was installed incorrectly; restart your PC and try again. If you are in an internet café and the error persists, try a different PC. If that does not help, clean your startup programs. If the error still remains, download Autoruns — https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns — and disable all startup programs that are not system-related. Sometimes leftover drivers from removed software remain in the system.
Error: Failed to load dependencies(x)(-x) — Make sure all antiviruses are disabled.
Solution: Disable all security software and remove all anti-cheats and antiviruses from your PC. ALL ANTIVIRUSES. If that does not help, clean your startup programs.
Error: Please uninstall Vanguard/Faceit first.
Solution: Remove Vanguard/Faceit anti-cheat from your PC and try again.
Error: AES instruction set is not supported.
Solution: This means your CPU does not support AES instructions; it cannot be fixed.
Error: Please enable Intel VT-X/AMD-V in the BIOS.
Solution: Enter BIOS and find “Intel virtualization technology” or “Intel VT-X” / “AMD-V” / “SVM mode” and enable it.
Error: VMX/SVM is not supported.
Solution: Go to Control Panel → Programs and Features → Turn Windows features on or off, and ensure “Virtual Machine Platform” and “Hyper-V” are disabled.
If the error remains, open CMD as administrator and enter (without quotes):
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off
Then press Enter and restart your computer.
If you are on Windows 11 and the above methods do not help, run PowerShell as administrator and paste the following commands in full:

Error: Either virtual or RAID disk is present. Please revert it back to normal state.
Solution: Disable the spoofer or disable RAID in the BIOS settings, followed by a complete Windows reinstall.
Error: CRD failed at XXX with code XXXXXXXX / Failed to init render.
Solution:
- For PCs: Your GPU is too old and unsupported.
- For laptops: Disable the integrated GPU in BIOS.
Error: Incorrect HWID.
Solution: Open CMD as administrator and run the following commands one by one:
wmic diskdrive get Caption, SerialNumber
wmic baseboard get SerialNumber
If any of these commands fail, there is a problem with your PC. Reinstall Windows and check if the issue persists.
