Gear is lost, experience stays
In HUNGER an expedition ends at an exit or in death, and death takes most of what you carried. Experience stays with your character, and there are no forced wipes: progress builds for as long as the account lives, not until a season ends.
For a cheat menu that sets the order:
- players go out solo, in pairs or in trios, so the size of a squad on screen matters more than a single silhouette;
- the infected and rival players sit in separate categories: the first are part of the map, the second came for your gear;
- loot is filtered by value, because player trading gives every find a price and whatever you fail to carry out is gone.
An axe and a rifle in the same fight
Weapons come from the Napoleonic era: a rifle, a pistol and an experimental hand mortar share the field with axes, maces and shields. Shooting and chopping happen in one fight, and once it turns to melee, aim assistance adds very little.
Search has its own trap here. "Hunger cheats" mostly turns up Fear & Hunger, a single-player RPG where cheats mean mods and save edits. This page is about something else: the online HUNGER extraction shooter from Good Fun Corporation.
The anti-cheat runs at kernel level
The game's Steam page says it plainly: HUNGER uses kernel-level anti-cheat, and Easy Anti-Cheat is the system it names.
The practical side comes from testing. As of October 2026 the game is open only through test phases, and the studio invites players selectively from Steam requests. An account with access is harder to get than the software, so risk it with that in mind. Each test phase also brings a new game build, and the software waits for an update after it.
What comes inside
Builds for a game like this line up from narrow to full:
- Visuals. Rival squads with their size, the infected, loot and expedition exits.
- Visuals with loot selection. Filters by value and distance, so time is not spent on junk.
- Full menus. Aim assistance for firearms and movement sections on top of the visuals.
The deeper a build reaches into a fight, the easier it is to spot in an axe duel at arm's length. Without wipes a character grows more valuable every week, and a narrow build protects it better than a full one.
Questions that come up most
Does progress reset? There are no forced wipes: experience survives both death and new expeditions. A ban therefore takes more here than in games with seasonal resets.
Is an aimbot worth it when fights reach the axes? For the rifle and the pistol, yes. In an axe fight it does little, since the moment of the swing decides it.
Is HUNGER on consoles? No, the game is announced for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store. The software works with the PC version only.
Why did the build stop launching after a test? A new test phase ships a new game build, and memory structures move. Wait for an update from the software developer.
