Medal works on both versions, so the page is built around it.
On Steam you can stay on Discord if it is already set up: configure it as described in the Discord overlay section and skip "Setting up the Medal overlay" below, every other step on this page stays the same. Through Discord the menu does not show up straight away, it takes a minute or two after the game starts.
What to disable and remove#
- Remove third-party antivirus software — remove it, do not "pause protection for 10 minutes".
- Turn off Windows Defender together with real-time protection.
- Turn off SmartScreen.
- Remove FaceIt and Vanguard. FaceIt is the CS:GO anticheat, Vanguard is the Valorant anticheat; both load with the system and interfere with the launch even in other games.
Setting up the Medal overlay#
- Download Medal from the official site and install it.
- Sign in to your account or create a new one.
- Open Settings → Overlay and under Overlay Settings set Enable Overlay to On. Do not pick Windowed Only or Exclusive Fullscreen Only: those show the overlay in one display mode only.
medal.tv is blocked in Russia: from there the download and the sign-in only go through with a VPN.
Downloading the loader#
The file sits at three addresses, the contents are identical:
Put it in a folder of its own — the loader updates itself and drops working files next to it.
Launching#
- Start Medal and leave it running: the menu is drawn on its overlay, so Medal has to be up before the game starts.
- Run the loader file as administrator.
- Wait for the loader to update itself, then run it again.
- Enter your key and press Enter. In the CMD window the key is pasted with the right mouse button.
- Wait for the loader to close on its own: it closes once the load has succeeded.
- Start the game — the menu appears automatically.

If END does nothing, close the game the usual way: unloading with this key does not work in every Arcane game.
