Games on this page: Dark and Darker, PUBG: Battlegrounds.

The whole order for these two games lives on this page: the preparation every Arcane product needs, the SteelSeries Sonar overlay the menu is drawn on, the loader and the keys in game. Do not skip the preparation — more than half of all support requests end right there.

What to disable and remove#

• Remove third-party antivirus software — remove it, do not "pause protection for 10 minutes".
• Turn off Windows Defender together with real-time protection.
• Turn off SmartScreen.
• Remove FaceIt and Vanguard. FaceIt is the CS:GO anticheat, Vanguard is the Valorant anticheat; both load with the system and interfere with the launch even in other games.

Setting up the SteelSeries overlay#

The software hooks into the Sonar overlay, not into SteelSeries Moments. So Moments gets turned off and the Sonar overlay gets turned on. Every switch below lives in GG settings: the gear icon at the bottom of the left-hand panel.

1. Download and install SteelSeries GG.
2. Open Settings → General and turn Moments off. That shuts down Moments capture and its game overlays in one go, so there is nothing else to disable for it.
3. On the same page turn Sonar on. If GG then asks you to complete the Sonar setup, finish it: until then Sonar is not fully active.
4. Open Settings → Sonar → Overlays and turn Display overlays on. Display hardware triggered overlays can stay off, it is only for Alias microphones.
5. Open Settings → Sonar → Shortcuts, find Master - Volume Up on the Sonar tab, press Assign Key and set a key you do not use in the game.

That key has to be pressed before every loader start, not once during setup. It initialises the Sonar overlay: skip it and the menu never appears in the game. Each press also raises the master volume by one step, and that is expected.

Downloading the loader#

The file sits at three addresses, the contents are identical:

• storage.e-arcane.com
• mirror 1, MEGA
• mirror 2, Yandex Disk

Put it in a folder of its own — the loader updates itself and drops working files next to it.

Launching#

1. Press the key you assigned to Master - Volume Up above. It is pressed before every loader start, not once.
2. Run the loader file as administrator.
3. Wait for the loader to update itself, then run it again.
4. Enter your key and press Enter. In the CMD window the key is pasted with the right mouse button.
5. Wait for the loader to close on its own: it closes once the load has succeeded.
6. Start the game — the menu appears automatically.

The menu in game#

• In PUBG the menu is only visible inside a match: in the lobby it is not there, and that is normal. Navigation goes through the arrow keys, not the mouse.
• Unloading with END does not work everywhere: in some games the key works, in others it does not. If nothing happens, close the game the usual way.

Arcane Radar for PUBG is a different product: it needs no overlay, its map opens as a page in the browser, and its launch order is its own. Your game is not on the list above? Then it runs on another overlay — NVIDIA or AMD, Discord or Medal.
