The whole order for these two games lives on this page: the preparation every Arcane product needs, the SteelSeries Sonar overlay the menu is drawn on, the loader and the keys in game. Do not skip the preparation β more than half of all support requests end right there.
What to install and check#
- Install the Visual C++ libraries (download).
- Disable Intel Rapid Storage Technology in the BIOS.
- Restart the computer. This is a required step, not a suggestion: without the restart the loader often closes without saying anything.
What to disable and remove#
- Remove third-party antivirus software β remove it, do not "pause protection for 10 minutes".
- Turn off Windows Defender together with real-time protection.
- Turn off SmartScreen.
- Remove FaceIt and Vanguard. FaceIt is the CS:GO anticheat, Vanguard is the Valorant anticheat; both load with the system and interfere with the launch even in other games.
Setting up the SteelSeries overlay#
The software hooks into the Sonar overlay, not into the SteelSeries game overlay. So the first one gets turned off and the second one gets turned on β the steps go in exactly that order.
- Download and install SteelSeries GG.
- Open the SteelSeries settings tab and go to "Settings" β "Moments" β "Capture and audio". Turn off "Allow Moments to capture during gameplay".
- Go to "Overlay and notifications" and turn off "Show game overlays".
- In "General settings" turn Sonar on.
- Open the "SONAR" section and set a hotkey for the Sonar overlay β Master Volume Up, for example.
That hotkey has to be pressed before every loader start, not once during setup. It initialises the Sonar overlay: skip it and the menu never appears in the game.

Downloading the loader#
The file sits at three addresses, the contents are identical:
Put it in a folder of its own β the loader updates itself and drops working files next to it.
Launching#
- Press the Sonar overlay hotkey you set above. It is pressed before every loader start, not once.
- Run the loader file as administrator.
- Wait for the loader to update itself, then run it again.
- Enter your key and press Enter. In the CMD window the key is pasted with the right mouse button.
- Wait for the loader to close on its own: it closes once the load has succeeded.
- Start the game β the menu appears automatically.

- In PUBG the menu is only visible inside a match: in the lobby it is not there, and that is normal. Navigation goes through the arrow keys, not the mouse.
- Unloading with END does not work everywhere: in some games the key works, in others it does not. If nothing happens, close the game the usual way.
